The Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives (BTEU) (Belaruski Handleva-Ekanamichni Universitet Spazhyvetskai Kaaperatsii) is a higher educational institution in Belarus in the city of Gomel. The University is an accredited major educational and research center of republican and international importance with more than 50 years of history. During this time about 50 thousand specialists were trained for the national economy of Belarus and foreign countries. In 2016 the University successfully passed the state accreditation of the university. BTEU has bilateral cooperation agreements with about 60 educational institutions and research centers from 18 countries. The university's priority in the field of international cooperation is the training of specialists for foreign countries. The university has been teaching foreign citizens since 2005. During this period more than 200 foreign citizens from different countries of the world were trained in the University: Azerbaijan, Algeria, Bangladesh, India, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia.

The University has a well-equipped material base to create the necessary conditions for the residence of foreign students, as well as to organize their living and leisure time. All foreign students who study are provided with accommodation in the hostels. The expansion of international cooperation is facilitated by the participation of BTEU in educational projects of the European Union: ERASMUS MUNDUS, ERASMUS +etc. These projects allow the development of academic mobility of students and employees in order to acquire and implement advanced international experience, to expand professional knowledge and skills, to discuss, develop and implement project ideas, to strengthen the image of the university both in the country and abroad.

Charitable public association "Hope for Children"

Dobrush district charitable public association "Hope for Children" is a voluntary association of citizens in accordance with the procedure established by law, united on the basis of common interests for the joint realization of civil, social, cultural and other rights. The Charitable public association "Hope for Children" has the status of a regional public association and extends its activities to the territory of the Dobrush district of the Gomel region. The Charitable public association "Hope for Children" is a legal entity, has an independent balance, a seal, stamps with its name, accounts in banking institutions, including currency, acts on its behalf in relationships with legal entities and individuals, can act as a plaintiff and defendant in the courts in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus. The goal of the Charitable public association "Hope for Children" is to help children affected by the Chernobyl accident.

The Charitable public association "Hope for Children" in accordance with the current legislation solves the following tasks:

  • improvement of children both in the Republic of Belarus and abroad;
  • provision of material assistance to families with children affected by the Chernobyl accident;
  • protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the members of the Charitable public association "Hope for Children";
  • identifying talented and capable children, creating the necessary conditions for the development of their intellectual creativity;
  • development and implementation of programs aimed at helping children affected by the Chernobyl disaster, orphans, children with disabilities and children from low-income families;
  • receiving and distributing humanitarian aid in accordance with the procedure established by law.

The subject of the Charitable public association "Hope for Children" is a charitable, directed assistance to children affected by the Chernobyl accident.

The main methods of work of the Charitable public association "Hope for Children" are:

  • cooperation with public associations that have similar goals and objectives;
  • promoting the goals and objectives of the Charitable public association "Hope for Children" through the mass media;
  • carrying out for statutory purposes of exhibitions, concerts, festivals, sports and other events;
  • carrying out activities to attract broad sections of the public to work on charity and charity;
  • organization of an exchange of delegations with foreign public associations in order to study the experience of charitable work.
